Growing Throns
Made in two days for the 2D Spring Gamejam 2025.

In this game, you are controling a plant attacked by monsters.
Each evening they come, more numerous every nights. You need to gather ressources with your differents flowers to grow enougth to reach the nests and stop the agression.
Will you overgrown the monsters or will they eat you first?
The flowers that will help you:
note that the flowers are named randomly, with not accuracie with reality or spelling.
The Core:
The core is the only part of your plant that can't die. In addition, it will grant you 10 water and 10 nutrients per days, and heal you for 2PV.
The Branch:
the braches connect every parts of your plant. You can only grow more branches from other branches.
If a part of your plant die, every branch and flowers grown from it will die too.
Braches don't do anything themself but can evolve in bud, then in every others flowers.
The Bud:
The but collect a small amount of every directly adjascent tiles.
The Sunflower:
The sunflower will try to heal you 2HP il you have 3 Water. It will not consume any water if you are at full health.
The Sugarflower:
The sugarflower will try to consume 5 of each ressources to permanantly increase your max hp by 1.
The Flowerlyly:
the flowerlyly will gather a lot of every directly adjascent water tiles.
The Rootsystem:
the Rootsystem flower is similar to the waterlyly for the nutrient ressource.
The Glowing Flower:
The glowing flower is usefull to protect other part of your plant. It will attract most of the ennemies at range (about 3 tiles away).
The folowing flowers couldn't be properly implemented. They are placable but do nothing in the current version.
The Rosae:
Planed effect: Guive then increase damages delth to attacking ennemies.
The Thirtle:
Planed effect: Actively attack ennemies at distance.
The Ecballium:
Planed effect: explode when destroyed dealing a lot of damage in a large area.
Controls:
Movments: WASD / ZQSD / drag and drop right mouse button.
Pause: Escape / P
All audio volume configurable in the options.
