--------THE GAME--------

A small infinite scoring game where you need to dodge fish and collect food as a jellyfish with peculiar movements.

How did it come to life ?

originaly a test for learning and improving shader writing skills, i begun to like the game and push it a bit further.

Curent Features

  • 3 Playable Gellyfishs each with it's own movment schem
  • 3 ennemies with different behaviours
  • 3 difficulties options
  • 5 types of foods to collect

Controls:

When it's require, the controls for Up, Left , Down and Right sould map to your keyboard language (WASD for Qwerty keyboard / ZQSD for Azerty).
Alternativly you can use the arrow keys.
The keyBinding option is planed for V1.0 but not implemented Yet.

Overall

  • Improuve UI Graphycs
  • Adding Content (see "Content" bellow)
  • Adding the possibility to name saving score 
  • Add Local(offline) leaderboard.
  • Adding more Sfx and rebalance music.
  • Improuving threat warning mecanics (soud + visual)

Content 

  • One more gellyfish (continuous movment )
  • Two more ennemies. 
  • More variation of ennemies paterns and behaviours
  • A large ennemy (boss like) 
  • Procedural placement of decorative assets (seafloor)

Knowed bugs

  • underwater sprite get on top of lilipad reflection
  • Longfish tail gittering
  • Wierd and unpleasant collisions

Install instructions:

unzip and run HazardousPond.exe

Made with Godot 4.2 in c# , WebGl build don't work yet with Godot4 .Net but a itch browser version will come as soon as it's possible. It is for now planed for godot 4.3.

The .exe version can be taged as a virus by your system as long as windows don't validate the source code; It's a false positive. The game d'ont modify or collect any information about you or your system.
